Hey, new to the forum here. Was on the classic celica club but there was like 4 members and a tumble weed.
Im looking for information on putting either a 4agze into my 76' ta23 or the 1jz.
What would i need to do for engine mounts concerning these engines. Brakes have already been sourced from searching on the forum, but any links on what is needed would be a super help or anyones past experience![]()
thanks

hey mate, you need to do a search. these conversions are well covered.
keep in mind the XX23's have the same engine bays and running gear as the XX28's
so have a look at some members threads and see what people have done.
the TA22 have a different engine bay size and other things, but has an identical crossmember and drive train setup to yours, so also lookinto mods people have done in this area, most will apply to you.
(these are from the first two pages of members rides....again....search)
the 1JZ

thanks pal, that is alot of help
your 1J conversion will be a bit different because you have a T series xmember, which requires a front sump motor.
ive done a thread on how to put a 1j into an RA23, but yours will be a bit different, not much really, just sump configuration.
something you might want to consider at this point, a KE70 xmember is a not to difficult addition to a RA chassis and it gives you rack and pinion steer, which is nice, and a bit more room for turbo and zorst helps too.
heres some links with some info on both.
