These vacuum gauge diagnostic guides were
taken from the tune-up manual which came with
my old (since gone) timing light, and also an old
Reader's Digest car care manual.
Note that the Reader's Digest version erroneously
shows one of the vacuum sources for tapping as
the distributor's advance inlet.
Sorry about the quality of the scans, but I had
to compress them drastically to fit the attachment
constraints of 97 kb each.
I wouldn't say that, in fact I'd say that it'll work even better since the line is small & restricted so the gauge doesn't flutter and seem to be near its breaking point.erroneously shows one of the vacuum sources for tapping as
