Signs up to find out. I have no diagram either.
I'll have a dig around Tak.
Ok, after a month and a half and almost buying another BIM027 the stupid X4 arrives to me, without a wiring diagram.
After trawling through 15 microleb diagrams i think i have figured out how it wires up. Can someone confirm this for me:
Coil side (6pin plug):
Black - Earth
Yellow - Coil 1
Orange - Coil 2
Yellow/Black - Coil 3
Orange/Black - Coil 4
ECU side (4pin plug):
Grey/Red - Ign 1
Grey/Black - Ign 2
Grey/White - Ign 3
Grey/Green - Ign 4
Is that correct, or have Microtech noobified their wiring diagrams, and so that Ign2 doesnt control Coil 2 but actually controls Coil 4?
This is urgent as i need to have it wired in before tuning tomorrow.

Does it really matter?
I has 4 input and 4 outputs.
Wire it up and if its wrong, just swap the wires until you get the firing order correct.
And yes Microtech wiring diagrams suck the royal dong.

I'd rather not do it by trial and error. I'd rather just do it once.

Ditto, but im about to go trial and error it, then ill report back on my findingssss

For sure it would be nice to have the wiring diagrams.
But it will take all of 10 minutes to trial and error it.

Cool, let us know how you get on.

this may or may not be of help to you.
my x6 box is wired like so.
coil 1-yellow
coil 2-yellow/black
coil 3-yellow/red
coil 4-orange
coil 5-orange/black
coil 6-orange/red
now compared to mine your box will not have the last cylinder from each firing cycle so disregard coil 3 and coil 6.
yours should be
coil 1-yellow
coil 2-yellow/black
coil 3-orange
coil 4- orange black
Hi,
Have you had a look at this diagram, it does not have the X4 but it reminds me of how I did mine.
http://www.microtechefi.com/pdf/LTX8...ectfireIgn.pdf
I was tired when I was wiring this section and stuffed it up, I wired the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th outputs from the ECU to the coils 1234 , really needed to out it into the firing order! - about as silly as not plugin the x4 in after wiring and wondering why it wont start!
I think what I learnt from this is that the ECU fires in the sequence 1234 hence the coils need to be wired in the firing order 1423 (if thats the correct firing order for 4age). - and that the X4 really needs to be plugged in!
If you really want I have the proper diagram at home, I am at work, I can go look at the car and work it out.
I just had a look, pretty sure it goes:
ECU - X4
1 - 1 - orange
2 - 4 - yellow
3 - 2 - orange / black
4 - 3 - yellow / black

Ill just go do mine soon i think, make it easier.

the ecu controls the firing order and it should be suited to the engine already.
plug the short loom that you recieved with the x4box into the old ignition output on the ecu
run the coil wires like i said and earth the 1 or 2 black wires to ground.
run the new tach output to your tach(where you would have had the old tach output wire running to) and fire it up
Except im not using a Microtech ECU

lol! so what you really need to know is the grey wires.
ill see what i can do
