Default MA71 tailshaft center bearing part # ????

    Hey everyone.
I am after some help chasing down a center bearing for an MA71.
My 2 local parts shops don't have a listing for it in the brands that they carry, and my toyota dealer says there is no such thing, that it doesn't use one. ( This seems to be their answer to anything that sounds any more adventurous than spark plugs ).
Surely someone has bought one, or is it a case of ripping the bastard out and taking it to a specialty bearing shop and getting something made up.
I can't seem to find much through google, but i have no doubt that it is most likely somewhere there.
Thanks in advance people, as getting rid of that soft shudder under the floor will do a great deal to improve my level of sanity.

    37230-14061 8601-8708 bearing assy, centre support, no1
    37230-14070 8708-8808 bearing assy, centre support, no1

failing that, mark the shaft with some liquid paper so you get it back in the car in the same position, and remove it and take it to a driveshaft servicing place.

the trans will spew fluid out when you pull the shaft out, so plug it with a rag.

or just pay someone to do it.

    good luck

forgot to give you pics of how to do it

Sorry, but can you please clarify, are these 2 different parts for different models ( auto and man ), or is that center bearing and flange etc ???? Also, are these the toyota parts, or from some other company??
    Thanks.

    these are toyota part numbers
they fit both auto and manual afaik
the 8601-8708 tells you what manufacture date the bearing fits
so it's from jan 1986 to aug 1987

and it's only the bearing and holder
if you look at the link you will see that the centre bearing is seperate from the flange

find another competent toyota spare parts dealer and they will be able to get you the right one, or as i mentioned remove the shaft and take it to a driveshaft place.
