I ditched the whole thing and used the hydro side from the water pump to run my power steering, its still working perfectly after well over 3 years
i checked it all out first and the pumps are the same generic size type and pressure, just the flow rate was a bit greater, they both have a flow controll shuttle built in so the flow remains constant regardless of engine reves
all that is needed is a small restrictor placed at the controll shuttle outlet, which is piss easy to do, this reduces the flow from the pump without changing the pressure and it wont load up the pump.
i just tapped the hole and screwed in a little countersunk bolt with a 3mm hole down the centre, it can all be done without taking it apart or anything
then wire 12v to the solenoid to turn the pump on and....... PRESTOone waterpump / powersteer pump all in one
