Default 1JZ oil pressure versus RPM

for some reason my 1J idle is 500rpm, doesnt really matter, idles pretty smooth, but what would the oil pressure be at this RPM, would it have been low enough to have killed the bearings in my turbos.

    i am running Motul 8100 X-Cess 10W40 full synthetic.

how do i raise the rpm, as having it at 800 stills shifts to drive smoothly.

whats the rpm supposed to be

That idle speed does sound annoying low. Perhaps the ISCV is a bit blocked or you could try increasing the idle a little by opening the throttle butterfly up a bit with the stop adjustment screws.

As for it damaging your turbos i wouldn't really think it had an effect as the turbos obviously arent working at idle, AFAIK the cooling of the turbos would be predominately done by the coolant flow into the core???

    clean the ISCV first.

Apparantly shouldn't play with idle screw with stock ecu.

I have an oil pressure guage but it is mounted in an unusual spot so no good for comparing to others results.

When mine is warm it sits at about 20 IIRC. 40 when cold.

On the same subject what do you spose the cuase would be for an idle of 2000rpm on first startup? seems abit high to me, i checked most things i don't think it's an air leak or throttle adjustment. Once warmed up it's fine. idles at 650rpm.

Also no air bubbles in my cooling system.

for the first 3-5 seconds of its starting life, the 1jz in the soarer spikes to 1.5k to 2k (i have never really looked) but i put that down to normal operating of the engine. The revs steady down to around 650 very quickly though (less than 20 seconds) so i would have thought the 2k spike was nothing to worry about...
500 i havent seen it go down to sorry
