Default 3T-GTE ignitor/coil wiring help needed

i need to know where each of these go to. i presume the single pin plug is for the tacho, the double pin is for the power supply (from the key), and the 3 pin comes from the knock computer??

the engine is running stock ECUs (2 of them)

i would be good if i could find out which pin they go to on which ECU

    thanks

White/pink, from memory that goes to the dizzy?

Pale cream be careful that isn't the normal colour for a tacho. Sounds more like a power supply?

On the ecu itself there is a pin for the ignitor, maybe check the colour there and that might give you some indication what plug that belongs to.

i also need to clarify the colour of the wire on the 2 pin plug. the pink is more actually a pale pink.

the plug that goes to the dizzy is a male 2 pin plug, the wires are white and bright pink.

Will try to look at my loom at home tonight, I'm sure everything is still plugged in even though it is out of the car. Do you have a copy of the wiring diagrams?

I've seen several different coloured wires for the same application when it comes to 3TGTE coils and ignitors - don't assume wire colour will help you!

From both my memory and what diagrams I have left:

The single pin plug connects the second coil (without the ignitor on top) to the ignitor (signal wire?)

The two pin plug has one "signal wire" (Ithin - vague on these memories so check before you take my word as gospel), and the other wire is for the factory tacho. I'f you've connected the conversion car's original coil +ve and -ve leads to either coil, this is redundant (small black wire on the loom side of the harness). Pin 18 on the 18 pin plug should be a black with red trace wire, and connecting to the yellow wire on the two pin main ignitor plug. The 2 small green, and green with white trace wires, go to the Knock computer plug, pins 5 and 7 respectively.

The three pin plug provides power to the coils - larger black with red trace wires - power from the ignition barrel I believe.

i just had a better look....

the pale cream wire (on the single pin plug) feeds +ve 12v to the +ve terminal on the 2nd coil

the brown wire on the 3-pin plug looks like the 12v +ve feed for the 1st coil

so all that leaves is 2 pin plug and green and blue wire on the 3-pin plug

thanks for the help so far

    3 pin plug -
green to different shade of green
    blue goes to green white
Tracked both to knock control, pins 5 (green) and 7 (green white). This is as Clint has said.

I have posted the 3T GTE wiring diagrams on my site under "3T GTE info".

You should be able to see from there.

    cheers,

how is the naming convention done on the knock control ECU?

is it the same as the other plugs on "TA22 GT's" website?

    ie.

    .7..5..3..1
    .....6..4..2

The pin numbers are from that website, I will try and get a pic of the plug tonight to show which wires I'm referring to but working late so it may be tomorrow night. From memory though plug 7 was below the locking tab, and plug 5 was up and to the right next to the locking tab.

okay....i think i may have just mounted the ECU upsidedown so that confused things a little

ive drawn this quick diagram as a reference for discussion

    from the following plug i have the following wires leading to nowhere. i know that 2 are for the ignitor and one will be for the pressure switch....anyway, they are;

    -black/red stripe
    -green/white stripe <- to ignitor
    -black/yellow stripe
    -blue/red stripe
    -solid green <- to ignitor

the other 4 leed back to the main ECU

    thanks for the help!

    Ok, see if this helps.
Black/red - goes to gauge cluster, same plug as speed sensor

Blue/red - ends at spade terminal in engine bay, too hard to trace with loom out of car

    Black/yellow - splits into 3 wires
1 goes to fuse box then circuit open relay and another plug I couldn't trace
1 goes to 18 pin plug on ECU
1 goes to engine loom and through to AFM plug
