Not SA63 specific, but may provide some guidance.

I'm sure I saw a thread on this once upon a time, but for the life of me I can't find it *domestic blindness*
Either way, we're building up an SA63 as a rally/hillclimb/maybe drifter. Engine's all sorted, but the suspention is woeful. A friends has a nice set of Ohlins struts for an S13, does anyone know what's going to be involved in making it all suit the SA?
From what I've very breifly glanced, we'll need a set of front hubs for it (maybe silvia?) because the front stub axle on the SA63 is part of the upright. So THAT's going to mean custom linkages etc...but I'm just rambling on no real basis.
Has anyone tried this?
Cheers, RM.

i am going to convert my 910 from complete strut to s13 setup. very similar to what you are doing.
if you get the hub/knuckle then you can probably retain the lower control arm and place the hub onto the existing balljoint. these hubs are pretty easy to come by. see if you can fit the balljoint into the knuckle, this may prove to make the conversion much easier.
by converting to this setup you will also be able to bolt the r32 skyline brakes straight on to the knuckle. big brake upgrade.

Also, can the rear struts be used in the IRS setup on the SA63? I'm thinking it can't be that hard...
RM.
Getting struts in the rear of an xA6x isn't that easy, mostly due to lack of room. There's no enough height where the springs are, and the shock towers can't accomodate anything wider than a shock.
My plan for the MA61 is to weld adjustable spring seats on the control arm using parts from a Skyline coilover setup. That way I can use 65mm coilover-style springs and I get height adjustment. Add some good adjustable shocks in the stock location and it's functionally equivalent to proper coilovers.

for the lower arms instead of customizing the s13 one you could try the lower arm off a jzx81 cressy? ive been told they fit.
Callum, thats some serious rear suspension modshope it pays off!
I've given up on the thought of struts for the a6x rear IRS, Norbie's idea is the best for height adjustability.
check out ebay for s13 parts. there are always heaps on there, cheap too
