TA22 shifter stick undo?

I have two Ta22's one of which a parts car, the shifter in my good car has been cut real, real short, and is almost unusable.
I want 2 swap it over with the stock one (seen in pics) but have no idea of how to undo it?
it has a little slack almost as if it is siliconed on.
does it pull off? unscrew? Or do I have to get at the gearbox and pull the whole ball joint out?
Anyone have any idea of how to get the suckers undone so I can swap them?

Look further down - you'll see 12mm head bolts, undo those and the shifter will comeout!

the 'handle' of the shifter is seperate to the base of it, as you say.
the handle has a piece of rubber pressed into it, and then it is glued/crimped onto the base. It is extremely difficult to get them off as far as i know, i nearly destroyed mine trying to shorten it.

someone else may be able to help you out though

got it, went out in the dark just now and had a fiddle, just had to take the plates off.

i got a quick qustion, the T series stick is a little too long for my liking, do u guys know if the W series stick will bolt on?

ahhh nuts, so my only chance is that i get a short shifter made up for it?

I think the stock one is just long enough to use properly (mind you it looks huge) for I have long legs and must sit on the boot of the car to fit in

Isn't there just 4 screws underneath that boot? IIRC

suss slide, TRD and paradise racing both make a T series short shifter

Shogun, when he says T series he meants Gearbox series eg T40 and T50 boxes
