where is it located also ?
you may find that it is just your crankcase gasses (i.e. bleed through from your rings, oil vapour) getting out, that is the whole reason why the hose you have running to your catch can originally went to your inlet manifold... to burn said gasses.
So its probably perfectly normal. The hotter your car is the more vapour it usually produces.

when hot, you get more volatiles (water, petrol etc) and oil vapour .. evaporating... which looks like smoke...
or it could be the oil starting to burn also...
perhaps more important is the volume of gas coming out..... of it's pissing out heaps of air, you have issues...
if it is slow, but with vapour, it's probably ok.. just not good for oil to get too hot.

it was coming out slow, not like it was under pressure.
can is located above the valve cover on a 45 degree angle.
That's all normal mate. I doubt it is a new occurrence you have probably just noticed it. Like, have you just done something to the engine and you are now looking for problems.![]()

great thanks dude!
if your gauge goes up more than usual on a hot day then you have issues.
smoke oiut the catch can i wouldn;t worry about, its one of the reasons not to run a catch can (mind you tehre are plenty of reasons in favour of running one)
^ i think he was more refering to engine temperature than outside temperature.. but yeah, as stated, vapours out your catch can's perfectly normal
i found out yesterday that is has a blown hg, so will be fixing that hopefully this weekend
