    Default st185 exhaust ground clearance

back on toymods after a long hiatus. hooray!

for those of you who have the aussie exhausts 3" system... do you have any underbody pics of your cars?

my 185 is my daily driver and as such I need it to:

    - not require any ridiculous angles for speedhumps, driveways, etc

    - be able to take sharp crests at speed (my folks' farm has a long and "challenging" driveway!)

am I likely to be very annoyed at the aforementioned kit if I install it in my car?

only if you try to go over said bumps like carlos sainz did

they are ok for speedhumps , just dont "speed" hump

Mine has a scrape because of this - and a LARGE speedhump that came up oin me without warning aroundf a bend

    Welcome!

I have the aussie dump feeding a 2.5" system and hardly have problems with scraping...

Perhaps you would draw more attention to your question if you posted in the GT4 dedicated thread!

hehehe, I'm not THAT evil to my cars :-)

what concerns me the most is the driveway approach thing. I really really don't want to do any of the stupid angled-approach shit that a lot of people seem to enjoy having to do.

with regard to the driveway crests... I mention it because my '96 camry would sometimes scrape the middle of the floorpan on the crests, and it had bog stock suspension/wheels. Last time I took the Celica out there it was fine (I suppose shorter wheelbase helps), but I am still concerned by it

Mine bottoms out the front bar if i turn right coming out of my driveway, not if i turn left, hence i always turn left, even if it isn't the shortest direction to head!

suspension is bone stock aside from whiteline camber bolts front and rear. I don't plan on lowering the car (at least not very much!) for aforementioned reasons

and yes, I'll have a poke at the GT4 thread

overall I love the car to bits. understeery, heavy (almost twice the weight of my KE10!) and uses a fair bit of fuel, but jolly good fun on wet tarmac or dirt. The 3S-GTE is remarkably well-behaved for a small turbo engine. I am really impressed.
