You will want to put a hell of a lot more details in there.
But goign on what you are saying, you are in for a BIG ride, 3SGEs into AE80s arnt exactly the easiest thing to do.
You are looking at custom engine mounts and driveshafts at the very least. You will also find that itll be a 5spd manual too.

2L?? Unless you want 3sge like takai said, you're best off settling for a 1.6L and possibly bore it out or even get a 7age (1.8L)

4age's have plenty of go for the corolla's, some slight mods and they give NA cars a run for their money

    I didn't think there was a 7A-GE, I know there's a 7A-FE, is that what you're talking about?

oops, memory lapse few of my mates have/had 7age. But that's using a 7A bottom end and 4age head...

Completely forgot that it wasnt released like that

    P.S where's the "oops" emoticon???

Forget it, just 4A-GE, it's easier. Or don't even bother, just get something good.

or if you really must have something 1.6L fit a 4ac, and 5 speed gearbox, although i wouldnt really bother with it, ive driven both a 2ac anda 4ac and not really any noticeable difference they arent made to go fast.

look into the 4AGE's even the smallport (100kw) or bigport (86kw) will be a big power increase ccompared to what you've got at the moment. The bigport was the factory fitted engine for the AE82 Twincam. You may even find that going out and buying one of these could be a more economical excercise than doing all the work to your current car.

converting an ae80 auto to a 4age manual is quite a task. an ae82 manual would be a better base or going out and buying the ae82 twin cam would be the easiest.

advantages of buying the twin cam its already got extras like rear brakes, all efi gear etc etc.

twincams already have the 4age in them, just depends what condition it's in. Most have probably had a hard life. What the difference from converting a ae82 4ac --> 4age and ae80 2ac --> 4age
