Don't waste your time with the GZE computer if you're going to go turbo, you're better off in the long run biting the bullet and getting a programmable ECU (Microtech, Haltec, Adaptronic, Wolf, EMS, whatever) than trying to run the GZE computer with a turbo. The fuelling and timing will be compromised from the start and you will be unhappy with the end result. Plus, you will start off with a brand new engine loom rather than patching 2 looms together and having all the associated electrical gremlins that go with that.

A race continues forever...
dont go near 2nd hand microtechs unless u know where they came from
if they are not suited to yr engine they will need to get modified
this can cost a fair bit

i work at kaizen garage. im pretty sure i recieved mail from you craig but ill reply here seeing as youre online.
the main engine managment system we use is a brand called Adaptronic. its a fiarly new ecu on the market but most people youll speak to that have experiance with them come away pretty impressed.
we just recieved a batch of the newest version.
i dont think i should be discussing prices here but there is no real reason to go to a 2nd hand (and 2nd rate) computer.
A good wiring job should have no electrical gremlins even if it IS two wiring looms bunged together.Originally Posted by psychofox

I too would recommend an aftermarket ECU from the get-go, either a Microtech LT8 or LT10s is about the best bang for buck these days - being a "wire it up and drive away" affair..... of course tuning it after that is heavily recommended.
Megasquirt-2 is also a good option for doing it on the cheap - but you need to know what you are doing![]()
