Default the NAtionals - an added event

    Hi all,

i was thinking today it would be a good idea to have some sort of swap meet at dubbo nationals - for those who would like to get rid of some parts like myself.

If anyone is interested perhaps we could put this on the saturday agenda in future perhaps?

    thanks
    Blake

    Toymods doesn't organise toyota nationals.

You might want to raise this point with the Toyota Nationals organisers. I don't know how much you will get out of 3 weeks notice though.

nah i was more referring to next year, i think theyve got enough on their plates to be organising another event on such short notice.

    Blake,

If you Pm "Grant" on here, he is one of the Organisers. that would be your best thing to do.

might be a good idea, but i can see a negative to it as well

whos goanna want to fill their car with all their unwanted parts, and drive all the way out to dubbo just to swap/sell them to some toyota owners when the same could be done with a professionally organised club meet IN sydney.

    Hi Mate,

As stated above, Toymods does not organise the Toyota Nationals in any way, that said their support of the event is invaluable and a large portion of people who come to the Nationals are from Toymods

Please contact Grant with any ideas suggestions on...

    [email protected]

    Thanks for your ideas.

    Hamgatan,

The next Dyno day Toymods are planning on encouraging people to bring there bits and pieces for a swap meet on the day and if it works out it will be part of all our Dyno Days.

However we all know how hard it is to find good parts and they are often interstate so having one at the nationals makes allot of sence to me.

agreed rod. so long as its within the same city (i.e. u dont have to drive more than 50kms to it..) a swap meet is a phenomenal idea.

but 3-4-500km to lug parts just to have a swap meet would seem pointless.. thats where im going with that.

Blake, for some people It may be a long way to haul stuff, that may or may not sell/swap.

My suggestion, start a swap/sell/trade post, asking people, what they want.
If you give people an idea of what you have, and what you want, you will be able to limit the amount of stuff transported.

I agree wholeheartedly, that there will be gear from other more distant states, that people will want. Just a mattter of streamlining, so you dont "carry coal to Newcastle".

    cheers Chuck.

but for small things like interior, brakeables, lights etc etc im sure its not going to be too much hassle for people to take stuff along, hell im quite happy to fill the tray of my ute up with things to sell...
