Default Fitting Supra 14x7 into ta22...

Just got me a set of the ma61 supra wheels to put onto my ta22. Tyre wise does anyone know how possible it is to utilise the full 7 width without difficulties with guard contact. The car has been lowered 1.5" all around aswell, I've been told 195/65/14 would be preferable...Suggestions or advice welcomed. Asking here before I do physical tests on the car.(Which is currently stationary). Thanks in advance...

I had 205's on my old TA22 with only minor scrubbing on the front. I reckon with a bit of massaging you could fix that problem, otherwise with 195's you should be fine.

195's fit very nicely on ta22's, very wide.

look at ROTATR, i think he has 10" wide tyres, they look insanely wide.

his car is tubbed though i think.

By the by, it should be 195/60/14s, thats a much closer fit to the old RWD Celica/Corolla sizings.

I'm in late but 185/60R14 or 195/60R14 would be pretty much perfect. There's a bit around in that size too.

I've got 205/50/R15 all round on my Ta22, and I also droped the body 1". the only time they hit the front guard is when I hit a pot-hole when truning.

With all due respect, given your wheels are 15" and thus obviously not MA61 wheels then the comparison isn't relevant or helpful at all. To be more helpful you could start by describing the rim width and offset of your wheels.

nice, but as mentioned, this info is only useful to this thread if you can describe the offset of the rims, and relate this to the 14" supra rims

    please clarify
