I thought gen 1 mr2 engines are twin entry turbo's aswell as gen 2
id be looking at ripping off the ST165 CT26 matty and looking at replacing it with a 7M CT26... i think theres a bit of work involved to do that (not sure about the bolt holes) but essentially youre getting a single entry turbo with a much bigger turbine wheel and better flow than the gen ii twin entry and gen i single entry CT26's..

negative... depends what you mean by gen 1 MR2..
if you mean gen 1 as in a AW11 they never came with 3S's at all..
if you mean gen 1 as in the first SW20 that came along then yes that did use a twin entry CT26, but that was a gen 2 3SGTE... the gen 1 3SGTE never made it into a MR2... only ST165's.. mattys got a gen 1 3SGTE, thus not from MR2
and so on gen 2 sw20 would be the revised taillight... different control arms job with the gen III 3SG(T)E.... the gen iii sw20 was the last revision with the BEAMS 3SGE....

just grab a 3sgte Gen 2 ct26 and chuck it on if u really want, i was sellin one a few weeks back! or spend 2 k and rebuild and highflow it using T4 internals and 54trim.though a bit costly..
2K?!?! jesus christ... doesnt it normally only cost like 800ish to do all that??? (machine and fit T04 wheel and high flow??) for 2K you could just about buy a new garrett!

i'l stick with stock turbo at the moment until she is up and running properly, i have very little space to play with.......and i still think its gunna be quite a little rocket anyways

People refer to my 3sgte being a rev1, my car is a 1990. 1991 to 1993 is a rev2 and 1993 onwards are refered to rev3. I know for a fact rev1 and rev2 have different wiring. Then rev 3 is a complete different story all together
