    Default Removing oil sender

    Hello folks

Ive got a problem, i want to remove my oil sender to fit an oil pressure and oil temperature gauge on my 2TG however its stuck. I tried using a socket and wrench but ive actually grinded the thing more. This is what it looks like now:

Anyone got any ideas on how to remove it?

do you plan on using it again?
if not i got plenty of ideas,
    1. drill throught is and put a thin phillips screw driver through and twist it out
    2. get a dremel and cut a grove and see if you can get it out with a flat screwdriver
3, get a cold chissle on the left side and "tap" it around (once you pop it the first 1/4 turb you can take it the rest of the way with multigrips
    4. multigrips (if its not in tooo hard)

Nar I dont plan on using it again, I tried the multigrips but because of the confined space i cant get a good enough grip.

I'll head off the bunnings tomorrow and buy myself a dremel and give the first two a go. I think the last resort is to angle grind the whole thing off and drill the darn thing out.

Yeah vice grips work well. but only if you have enough room. They also crush it nicely too. Is there a bolt behind it? Maybe get an old spanner that will fit it and bend the head of it a little and see if you can un-do it.

    You are 100% correct cuzzo:

Theres not enough room to get to the bolt thread and I doubt I could get enough grip this thing is wedged in hard. Any last ideas before i try and use a left hand drill and drill it out?

    Hi,
just use the other oil gallery located ontop of your block to chassis ground point (its in the 1st top pic) at least you can still use your oil warning light
