I just got quoted $73 for a new one from Galleria Toyota (two available ex-east).
I hope you can find a cheaper alternative.

only reason it might be special is the presence of boost instead of vacuum - but i think any pre-EFI and OBD1-EFI car will have a supply of these things that fit neatly into your left pocket.

Nothing deta I dont think. A mate was doing that until he saw my set up and how it was spose to go! lol. But then it may not work and the pressure might vent out the filter. give it a rev and put you head at the start of th intake to be sure.

    Hey Guys,
I was quoted about $58 for the same item from our local aftermarket Toyota specialist. They used to be a Rawnsley's business but got the hump with the cost of being with them. I gather it is almost a mirror of the Toyota parts system that they are using.

Anyway, the guy behind the counter told me that it was the same part as used on Aussie Supra turbos on their BOV. So a bit more investigation may yield something along the lines of 'walk into friendly local wreckers, lift bonnet of toyota model XXXXX and grab little plastic thingy. Show it to wrecker man and see how hungry he really is' We have two yards in Gympie and in my opinion they are polar opposites. The one we always deal with is really friendly and usually way cheaper, but you often have to pull things off yourself. The other guys are also very friendly, but seem to have gone all professional and generally want to do all the work and hike up the price. At least they smile as they take your money I suppose. A couple of owners ago, they had the price but not the professionalism, so I guess they are coming along there.

Anyway, if you find a wrecked Supra turbo, 7M-GTE, it should have exactly the same part on it. At least that is what my parts man found when he looked up both models for the part numbers.

    Edit:
And yes, the reason that I know this is that we had something fall on the plastic thing while the motor was in storage and break it. And yes as a tightwad who works in a hardware store, I DID buy a tube of superglue and glue the tube back on to the plastic thing. Then my mate broke it again and re glued it. Then had to stick a drill bit carefully into the tube part and drill through the glue. Anybody's guess whether it is actually functioning now.
