    Hey Karl,

Jus looking to clear up some mis-information. Ive been told that inox is the same shit as rust converter. It chemically graps the oxygen back from the iron-oxide leaving you with crappy iron residue that you remove however.

"Rust converter" the brand is corrosive (mildy - but enough to require labelling by law) & i was lead to believe the same thing about inox. Consequently, never looked into the product any further coz i thought i already had an equivelent.

    Not so it seems...

    Whadda u know?

Inox is a lubricant essentially, most rust converters contain a mild phosphoric acid which converts the iron oxide to iron phosphate which is white. There is obviously something else in it too to warrant it's distinction over WD40, RP7 et al, but it's not like rust converter.

Yeah your right bout the phosphoric acid in rust converter.

Guess i didn think about it that much at the time, coz thats quite different to the way i had it put to me about inox which was that whatever is in it has a higher oxidative index/state or whatever the fuck, and thus forms XXXoxide by stealing the O2 from FeO2. Would have to create an otherwise anaerobic environment to do so... under oil would do it...

that rust looks very mild. my choice would be to use some steel wool. and oil.
