    Default 7M alternative alternator mount

I am are slightly concerned about the proximity of alternator to runners, can anyone suggest a M series factory mount that will reposition it to where the aircon compressor used to be?
If I can move it down there then the bend can be taken out and the runners shortened somewhat...

All M motors had the Alt on the otherside of the engine as far as I know so nothing that will bolt up that i can think of.

Maybe an idea would be to use the Air con mounts to bolt a plate on there and bolt the std brackets to that.

Or just make a custom bracket for it.

Have a look around the wrecking yards for the older models.
Just remembered that the early 4M I had used a plate that bolted to the block then the A/C comp bolted to that so maybe one of those is what you need.

By the looks it's a flat plate, I'm sure linden can handle that. See my build thread for pics

That is a pretty sweet looking bracket. I might go to pickies tomorrow cause i need a falcoon alt. I'll have a look around for suitable brackets.

Here's another concept. Uses the standard alternator adjustment bracket apparently. Opinions?

I'll settle for easiest at the moment. Besides, my throttle body is eleventybillion times bigger than the one in that pic, ought to draw focus away from the mount

Gosh... that's going to make idle control a little hairy
I'd love some flowbench figures on it though
