Default AE86 kouki foglight - driving light?

Has anyone tried converting these to driving lights by pulling out the yellow plastic bulb cover inside the foglight? Or would I likely melt my grille! Presumably the lens would be poorly suited to this application also?

I dont think the lens would be suited to 100W driving light globes.

Why dont you go to Kmart and pick up some $50 driving lights, glue them up so they are sealed. then install them (properly with fuses) in to that location?

Im going to put some 100W lights behind the grille on the Celica, I'll see if the grill gets too hot. If it does, I guess a mesh grille is always an option.

    Look into it.
