I recently bought a 2T-GEU long block. Engine appears to be in pretty good shape -- however, one of the valve/retainer locks (keepers we call them here) was broken when I removed it. Hoping someone here can help find a source to purchase new valve keepers/locks. 8.5mm valve stem and 7 degree angle, single groove. Haven't been able to find an internet source yet. Note: This is for the standard models listed within his title listing, however I based my choice on the fact that my 18rc and 18rg valves to me seem to fit together when I tried to match them, I would caution you that these are not to same exact part number as the correct valve lock for the 2TG and 18RG....

Thanks for being patient with me. It's interesting - if I put that eBay item number in eBay's search bar I get nothing. If I search "eBay 353302287179" using my search engine (bing or google) it pulls up the item you're referring to. In the listing picture - the inside looks just like the inside of mine. Dimensions are the key. I haven't come across another Toyota engine that uses a valve stem that is that large a diameter (8.5mm) - within .01" of the same size as a big block Chevy. I'll do some more research and see what I find. Thanks again - M

First pass, I don't think the eBay parts will work -- the description lists them as fitting 2TB, 2TC among others. If you go here - https://www.toymods.org.au/forums/th...s-amp-Diagrams - and scroll down to post number 4, you'll see the 2TC valve stem diameter is 7.96-7.98mm. The 2TG stem dia is 8.46-8.48mm. FYI

You are almost correct: stem size is 8.40mm.
I just measured a set of Used valves from a 2TG both the intake and exhaust valve stems measured the same.

And the valve spring retainer opening is 13.50mm top of keeper and 10.40mm at the bottom opening...
I also checked the specifications for the 2TC specs and you are correct on the stated valve stem diameter for that valve, sorry that I had not taken the time to check the Green book prior to suggesting a possible fix for your situation.
I also have another suggestion, for what it is worth. These are Yamaha Heads used for this engine, could that be a source for the correct valve lock provided for this application?

Mine is correct for valves from a 1973 2TG not 2T-GEU Single valve spring, not the duel valve springs. I would rather not disassemble a 2T_GEU head to remeasure or disassemble a 3TG just to prove a point..
Good luck with your search, You have got time or could also order some custom replacements as an assembly..
