On the 7m ecu we used to swap out the crystals for higher frequency ones to bump up the rev limit, may or may not help yours
Does anyone know if theres someone out there that can disable the rev limiter and still using the factory ZZE-122 Denso ECU , as it cuts in right on the redline of 6,400 rpm
I know people will say that 6,400 rpm is plenty as its max power comes in at 6,000 rpm but when racing the car we are have change gears in the most inconvenient spots on the track
( in one section part we go from 2nd to 3rd and straight back to 2nd again which affects lap times )
If we could get it to the high 6,s it would make a huge difference

There is no substitute for PUBIC inches
Never late in an x8
They came from RS components and yeah we fitted them ourselves. Would pay to have a couple spare ecus to practice on first depending how handy you are with the soldering iron

I'm purely quoting internet "know-how" here, but apparently the earliest 2ZZ ECUs had a higher fuelcut. Then after some engine failures due to missed shifts and over-rev the fuelcut was dropped for later generations.
May or may not be true, but it sounds like an early ECU (if the other pinouts are compatible) could sort you out.
I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
