Posted a pic as my profile pic. 3sgte gurus... Look stock or aftermarket?
Thanks

Hey all,
Bit of a weird one but here goes...
Guy i bought my engine off (3sgte rev 3 head) (in parts) said his brother built the engine originally and it had a "Jun valvetrain".
Retainers n valves looked stock....
When I did the valve stem seals (looking for a ghost vac leak) i took a pic of one of the springs. Can't figure out how to post the pic on here...
Its bronze coloured and fairly meaty looking (doesnt hell I know lol)... Is the spring dia thicker on uprated springs? Anybody know the stock ones look like? (To compare).
I'm running high lift cams n need to know what they are!
Thanks again
Chris

uprated springs can either have more meat.. or less length (ie, less turns)
your best bet may be to get them measured?
for example
http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/va.../index.en.html
Set Length: 34.5mm
Lift Length: 24.5mm
Set Load: 30.0kgm
Lift Load: 72.8kgm.
here, 94 celica(?) 3sgte springs are:
http://bgbonline.celicatech.com/93ce...rhead3sgte.pdf
Installed tension:
201 – 236 N (20.5 – 24.1 kgf, 45.2 – 53.1 lbf )
at 34.4 mm (1.354 in.)
so JUN springs should be significantly more?

Oldcorrolas,
