    Default 18R-C to 18-R-G - is it do-able?

    Hey!
    Got an RA40 with stock 18R-C and W50.

    Would like to upgrade to 18R-G for the extra poke and tunability.

    Feller on here has an R-G head. Will it bolt to the 18R-C block or do I need a straight 18R block, or what?

    The pistons are different among other things such as timing chains.
    By the time you stuff around sourcing all the bits and pieces to make it work id personally start with an complete 18RG and rebuild it.
    I was in the same situation 20 years ago.
