    Do you want it legal/engineered?

You don't need one it won't cause any probs.

But you will need one if you need to get it engineered and legal.

It's a good idea to run one is it not? I mean, leaving the car in the sun on a hot day can cause problems as far as I know, with pressure in the tank building up and not really having anywhere to go if you block the hose off. I could be way off the mark though!

If you dont run the canistor you wouldnt block the line off! You would just vent it somewhere like on the older cars!
I dont see any reason not to have the canistor though as you can find some real small and neat looking ones around.

Well yeah, but won't you then have raw fuel vapour coming out? Having said that, I had mine venting into the engine bay when I had the 20V in there. For some reason I was too lazy to get a piece of hose and hook it up to the canister.

Charcoal cans to me are not only a legal requirement but a valuable safety feature.

Drop into your local import wreckers and check out how tiny the charcoal cans are in UZS131 and other similar vehicles!!

Damn... Was just about to suggest 131 crown canister, Karl!

Only excuse not to have one is if you're running LPG only.
