For those who haven't been before, Toyota Nationals is a weekend away where you are able to catch up with a large and varied group of Toyota enthusiasts from all over the country who come together to participate in some driving events and social gatherings with lots of light hearted banter and a very relaxed vibe. The event is run over the Easter long weekend every year, from Good Friday through to Easter Sunday
I would also like to note that as we are attending in an official capacity, Toymods historic registered vehicles are able to come along for the entire event without using any logbook days
Accommodation is normally at the Matilda Motor Inn (this is also the center of activities for every night). If you call the Matilda to book a room make sure to tell them that you are attending Toyota Nationals, otherwise they might tell you they are fully booked. If there are no rooms left, some other options are below:
Matilda Motor Inn - Books out fast but cancellations do occur so leave your name just in case someone bails at the last minute.

Route Discussion: in the last few years we have taken bells line of road and gone via mudgee etc with a stop at Owen's house. Unfortunately Owen has moved to SA, and the road from Mudgee to Dubbo isnt the greatest condition. The "main" route via the Blue Mountains/Bathurst generally has more traffic, but is closer to civilisation if someone has a breakdown, and there is E85 in the blue mountains now also. We would need to deal with the Easter traffic across mt Victoria etc though. What route do people prefer?
Also, punch is confirmed: one batch for Friday night.

ok so just confirming, route will be twin servos to mudgee via bells line, then from mudgee to wellington (so we skip the bad part of the road) and then wellington to dubbo. Planned stops will be discussed at the meet point but I am thinking of doing just one stop at mudgee and thats it if we can help it. That is of course unless someone's shit breaks or someone needs an urgent piss break and cant make it to mudgee. Hopefully that way we can have a relatively quick run to dubbo
