if you have an aftermarket ecu, you don't even need the cold start injector anyways.
with no cold start u have to spend time warming up is a down side as u have no drive away cold ability ,fuel lines i ran both lines to a t piece then a single line to fuel filter, cracking has been spoken of on other forums ,just dont be greedy with haw much o/size u go,no worries yet @ 21 psi ,when i crank it to 30 we will see,if no dramas good ,i will post up any hassles i might haveOriginally Posted by tooch

great info. im running an ems so no need for sold start. i believe gen 3 dont have cold start anyway if you lucky enough to have one.
ToDa, what sort of $$ would i be looking at to run a centre feed with slight bore out like your setup?
millsi: walk thru on the fuel rail mods, and approx price.

thanks lance. i will prob get mine done by someone whos done it before as i dont have the tools and dont want to fuck it up lol!
Yeah ToDa I'm running the wolf anyway, so the cold start injector is just there to plug the hole up at the moment, until I put an air temp sensor in it's place. I might look at doing the dual feed, as I'm already running 550's.
In my experience, the cold start injector has nothing whatsoever to do with cold drivability.
I ran a 3sge without one for 2 years, including through the winter at temps as low as -25 degrees Celcius.
If you look at the EWD, the primary cold start injector input is the power from the cranking circuit. There is on newer vehicles an additional ECU input, to fire the injector briefly on a hot restart, and to help prevent the injector from coking up due to lack of use through the summer.
The hot restart info I got I never verified (electrically) myself. However the cold start injector reliability did seem to improve following that...
3SGTE: You are right, the CSI only fires on cranking when the coolant is below a certain temp. Does nothing for cold drivability, only starting.
Hence the aftermarket ECU's just adding extra fuel from the normal injectors on a cold start to do the same thing.
tooch - yopu can always use that spot for the water injection too - though - i guess having an accurate post water-inj temp will help the air temp collaborate to the right mapping for fuel

True that....I was thinking of going WI eventually, may have to find another spot to put it.Originally Posted by Classique71
