Well that was a bit of fun eh. Poor old GT8 struggles with street rubber on but did a few laps anyway for a giggle.

Punted Jack's 22 around for a heap of laps and jeez is that thing a handful. Only managed a coupla clean laps with a best of 1:13.3. There's a heap left in it though. Scrap the 4.3 diff for a 3.7, fix the cracked plenum and drop the tyre pressure and a 1:10 is there for the asking no probs. Watch how much it puts on a GTR then :-)

Thanks to Damien for the shotgun ride in the soarer too, a well sorted beast.

Jack's 22 certainly is quick! Here's a clip of the 2 GTR's chasing his car down the straight - they didn't gain any ground.

Here's a lap in my car with Justen doing cameraman duties...

nice video. That lap in the soarer looks super smooth. So how long has the W58 box lasted so far with a torquey motor & heavy car?

It's been close to 2.5 years now but I'm pretty easy with it on the road and the clutch isn't real grabby so it buffers any shocks.

awesome day had buy all. assessed the damage bill on my car. Cracked plenum and snapped the trubo clean off the exhaust manifold. oh well, all about learning and getting ready things right for next time.
love that vid mate. those GTR's certainly were angry after I showed them up down the straight. especially when they tried to run me off on the first corner.
cant wait for the next track day.
great to meet plenty of new faces.
thanks to garth and tony for an awesome day!!

but hey i had fun and i'm keen to get out there again and give it another shot. I'll definately be getting some better brake fluid next time as my current stuff is screwed and the car was really only pushed for the 5-6 laps that garth was driving.

At least that's all you've got to do.
I've got some serious suspension work to carry out....
As Justen said, 4 wheels on the ground would help with cornering.
Anyone having to have any picks of my car lifting a hind leg?
Would expalin why I got worse times that previously.

Also had to spend yesterday getting tyres stripped to remove rocks & other crap from the bead after a big off on the left hander up the 1st straight. Almost thought it was going to trip up & go over it was bouncing that hard

    Thanks!

Finney, for brake fluid go to a motorcycle shop and get a couple of bottles of Motul RBF600. Awesome stuff.
