We will meet up at the servo so everyone has a chance to fuel up before we head out and up the mountains via the Great Western Hwy.
Depending on what time we arrive we'll stop for some lunch at a nice kid/family friendly pub in Katoomba and then head down to the race course.
We will park near the Aquatic Center in Catalina Avenue and should be able to walk around the circuit which is just over 2ks, given none of us will be in a hurry after a nice big feed this will take us an hr or so.
Catalina Race Track Info - A 1.3 mile circuit in New South Wales whose construction was started in 1954, but didn't officially open until 1960, and closed in 1969
These guys did an Article on Catalina which is not a bad read http://www.vsccwa.com.au/cms/uploads...ept-Page09.pdf
And if Program covers for Race meets is your thing check this out ! - http://www.progcovers.com/motor/catalina.html
You can see the track from Google maps here:
