Default Fuel pump give a signal to ecu (3sgte)???

    Hey all.

Got rid of the crappy old in tank Walbro fuel pump on my st205 gt four and fitted a shiny new monstrous external 300lp pump in the boot running off a relay straight from the battery.

The old pump has been completely disconnected from the plug...

Car fires, runs for a second then dies...

My question is... if anyone knows, does the ecu kill the ignition if it doesn't sense a pump??

Know it sounds dumb but you never know! Heard the COR etc is related to the dizzy...

    Thanks again all 😀

the COR is there to supply power to the pump while cranking as there is no engine speed signal until the engine starts.

How have you turned the relay on !
