Does it still have the rain guard fitted to the underside of the lid?
Just looking for some advice on what to do with the engine lid for my MR2. Where the turbo sits just under it, it gets very hot & the paint has started to crack a bit, it's definitely off colour. So am thinking that it was either....
A poor quality paint used to start with, getting it repainted with some quality paint should remove this issue (the guy that repainted my missus' Audi suggested quality paint will sort it out); or,
The engine bay lid needs to be lifted to give that bit of space between turbo & lid.
If the latter, any recommendations for a bodykit part that will accomplish this?
The turbo itself will also be changed for something in a smaller housing also in the next month or so so there is a bit of leeway there coming up. Am going to get it repainted once the new turbo is fitted, but don't want to spend money on it just to have more cracking on the engine lid in a few years time when it could have been avoided.
As ever, thanks for any & all advice.
Cheers, Brad
