So are you adapting the ls to the r153 transmission? I think the capacity will be too large for the weight of the mr2.

Nah we are gonna use a subaru gearbox.. noeth south instal. We have decided yo make it a track car as rego was gonna be near impossible. We spoke to an engineer n he said its a major undertaking n suggested an audi.v8 east west instal but i have an LS1 sitting ready to go n have a vy ss as daily driver so we are just gonna use mr2 ls1 as track only. I.did wanna use it to show odd in on newcastle foreshore vut am happy just taking it down the creek every now n then for a few fast laps.. already done sipsension work n got cage coming in a few days n fire extinguishers.. we are sourcing a gearbox n brakes too soon so should be all up n doing laps in approx 1 to 2 months

Send me a private massage and I will pass you onto a guy who happens to be an automotive engineer that I am using for my conversion. Awesome guy and great to deal with. When I walked into his workshop it was filled with custom drag and track cars. Mate i was like a kid in a willy wonka chocolate factory.
I am sure he will be able to help you out
