Hey all,
Brought a diy basic shift kit transgo sk340
Having issues with fitting the valve for the lock up torque converter. There is a removable tube which has slots in it and inside it has valves and a spring. The new part supplied doesn't fit into this tube and this part is too small to fit strait into the valve body to replace the tube. The instructions do not mention the tube at all.

For the sake of a conclusion. I descided that the instructions where incorrect and this valve was not suitable or needed in this model of valve body. It was for the lock up torque converter control.
The rest of the kit went in very easily. Hopefully it works as it is surposed to!!
There are different 340 series variants
Early one come with cable activated line pressure control
Newer ones are with solenoid control
Maybe yours is just the early type

Engine conversion is when you drive a shitbox which costs a whole LEXUS to own
The instructions covered 4 different valve bodys and showed that this was cable type. I came to the conclusion that it was niot aplicable to mine so I did not use it.
