Default TA22 Factory Oil - Amp Gauge wiring

Hi - Need help with wiring the factory amp gauge in TA22 to a vehicle that never had one - no problem with the Oil Gauge and light its sorted.

I want to know the best place to run the + positive wire from for the Ammeter. Does it have to be switched from the ignition?
    Can it be wired from
    1. Cig lighter
    2. or from the fuse box (which wire)
    3. run a whole new wire from Alternator or Battery. (in the factory manual the wire looks like it comes from the Battery + fuesable link)

Here is a link with a bit of info about installing. Just remember you need a fuse in the amp gauge wire because it is the line for main power supply, for gauge to work properly full current used must pass through gauge.

    Cheers.
