Bylong Valley way is the best way to get from Newy to Mudgee in a sports car!

I'm catering for 30 plus leftovers (no doubt there will be some hungry people and some not so hungry) if anyone has special dietary needs, I won't get upset if you BYO.

A Corolla is a sports car, right?

    Right?

Been ages since I last drove that way, from memory the condition wasn't crash-hot but I think it might have been re-surfaced since then. Used to go up to Mudgee all the time back when my old man was working at Ulan but only a handful of times when I was actually driving.

I took the 86 out through there several times without issue (well the wife was pregnant at the time and we needed to slow down and open the windows a few times, but the car had no problems )

Surely you have something better than the rolla to bring?

    A 5SFE-powered SXV20 Camry?

The Corolla IS my car, always has been, always will be. Everything else has been the wife's, and none of them have lasted (for various reasons).

Foamy's KE70 cant make it, I wired the car to run for several hours tops and MRC are having a **** of a time trying figure out what I did after 10 beers with some side cutters and re-wire it to make it last several decades so he will be driving my adub which seems alright. Hasnt been driven since last year but it started today so I'm sure it will be mint.

For those entering the drags, make sure you bring long sleeve clothes and an as/nzs1698 helmet. The old as1698 helmets are not valid any more (and have not been valid for many years)

See you all Friday morning! Also RE friday - if the maccas carpark is full, there is a truck parking area behind the servo which can hold a shitload of cars

Yeah was wondering where we would all park with 22 + cars.

Apart from a plethora of tools, is anybody else bring spares i.e bolts, clamps, heater / fuel hose / coolant yada yada yada. I've got coolant and a heap of tools, just tossing up if it's worth while taking the TIG +argon with me (would of been able to at least fix 1x car last year haha).

Once again great weekend, no big nights which was a bit different but we all still got pretty loaded.

Had a mint drive home on the Monday though, went with the backroads via Mudgee (doing quality speeds) with only a few cars to overtake the entire way and then Bells line. 10 minutes of traffic through Lithgow and we cruised at the speed limit the remainder of the way. Only had one **** HWP who hid at the end of a short overtaking zone but a thoughtful passing driver gave us the heads up

Foamy got pulled over after we split up, undercover thought he was on his phone resting his head on his hand at a set of lights........ somehow got let off driving a loud car with a bottle of acetylene doubling as a passengers seat?
