Incorrect TPS wiring or bad TPS.
Unplug the TPS and see if it makes the problem go away.
Hi all
i have a lx90 and i have fitted a 1uz into it.
I have an issue that I assume is electrical. Start the car and it will idle fine. When you try to rev it, it revs up to about 1600 rpm then dies and comes back on at 1100 rpm. It will do this in a pattern. Also if i press down further on the accelerator pedal it will rev as little higher like 1800 and come back on a 1300, this is as high as it will go. the check light is not on.
I have cleaned the throttle body
tried other ECU's
tried other ignitors
tried other air flow meters
i have wired up everything from scratch again thinking i made a mistake
i have unplugged the ignitors while running to see if its running on one bank, either one causes it to stall right away
no joy
when i first got it running i took it for a drive before it idled at all, and it reved properly no dramas at all.
anyone else seen this problem?

okay I unplugged the TPS, exactly the same.
I swapped the entire throttle body from my LS400, exactly the same
Checking the wiring now.
DX20VT you were spot on,
I had earthed a wire that I should not have,
Car is usable. Thank you so much for your help !
