I thought late 5mge mx73 also had the a340? Anyways yes mx83 definately did. Plenty of guys using the a340 in high power applications and in drag cars.
Hi Guys,
My MX73 will be getting turboed in this rebuild, and im now looking at the A43DL and thinking "will you handle this?"
Whats better in longevity/aftermarket availability/ratios/value for money, the A43 or the A380?
And am I correct in saying that the x83 runs the A380?
Looking at doing some quarter mile time (even though ill be taking minutes in this thing) so basically, whats a better base for a street/strip auto trans?

mines plated A43DL, its had a replacement trans at some stage with a hack of a wiring job.
looks like ill be after an A340 then...
