    meh, brides are overrated
seems Recaros (esp red ones) are much more popular here anything from honda beats to hummers...

why is it that the drift market gets set on particular seats???

as for rails, i wouldn't want to use anything but steel.. alloy could tear too easily in accident..
heck, your floor pan can tear in accident and let the seat go anyway....

The flat bar is pretty thick and strong, 6x55mm but cant remember the grade. seems very stong, i can see the floor pan tearing first lol

I feel like a bit of a sheep having bride replica seats, but it means nothing to me - i just wanted some ADR approved buckets cheaply, and these fit the bill perfectly, no dorifto takumi spoontah stuff here

I was intending on using ~5mm steel angle, this cut the mustard? By the sounds of what other people have done my idea is less dodgy - so i should be fine.

LOL, that is also just coincidence

yah, even 1mm steel will tear easily if the hole is not reinforced... and i guess 6mm ally is not so bad esp with big washers or load spreaders...

5mm steel angle will be ok also, but it all comes down to what you can get signed off...
how specific is the NCOP on seat mounts? it simply defers to VSB 5A and VSB 5B and the ADR 3....

Sorry about the rough photo, i didnt realise how blury it is.

Anyways, basicly i just spaced the rails appart to suite the floor pan, then add the flat bar to suite the seat.. they actually line up very well with the old mounting points on the old seats. I might add two more bars to move the seat back a abit.

    Bride copies are ARD approved

Funny thing is, the original Brides, arent.

The seats are pretty good but I dont really like the material on the copies.
