    Default Positive V Negative Triggered switches

    Hi there. . .

    I bought myself a Rain Sensor Kit and want to try it out either in my AE92 or IS 300

    Have got most of the wiring sussed but have a couple of issues;

    1. Not sure whether the wiper motors on the Lexus ( & Rolla) are Negatively or Positively triggered. (Wiring diagrams attached)

    Have Googled this ( - / + switch triggers ) but the Diagrams & explanations leave me none the wiser (wiring isn't my strong point).

    2. Also not sure which wire is the INT (Intermittent wire) on the Lexus

    Cheers

    GS

    edit:.. I think I've confused myself hang on

    this is a random one for Mazda Protégé (thanks google) but shows the relay/switch logic a bit more clearly BUT this is a positive switched one... ie the motor is permanently connected to earth...
    edit: this seems to be like yours... ie, follow the motor ground to the autostop (park/run) switch, it has same connection to IGN when switched..

    check this out..
    http://www.globalsoftware-inc.com/coolerman/fj40/5G.htm
    but your park/run switch (on RHS in wiper motor) switches to power, rather than switching to ground.. so maybe it is reverse of yours?

    actually on your diagram, the +1 and +2 (for Lo (+b to L1) and Hi (+B to +2)) probably go to the +1 (L-B) and +2 (L-R) in the motor (+1 has the resistor)
    but the common brush on your is connected to ground (inside motor = E, outside = 5, wire = W-B)
    hmmm
