Kameari adjustable cam gears for 2TG
Hi guys,
Just wanting to know if anyone has used the adjustable cam gears/sprockets from Kameari for 2TG?
Does anyone have any feedback or recommendations?
Should i go for the fully adjustable type or the 13 hole type and the pros and cons to both types of cam gears.

I have the fully adjustable Kameari gears in my 3T/2TG hybrid.
Makes cam timing adjustment very easy and repeatable once you have base settings completed. You can easily account for chain stretch and change in chain length following head or block decking.
Best thing about them other than ease of use - no chance of loosing timing lock pins down the timing cover.
Worst thing - the allan key bolt heads on the gears were a poor fit for my allan key set making tightening more difficult. You also need stubby head allan keys as there is little room between the head and the gears.

I'm looking at getting these for my 3t/2tg hybrid also.
I'm running TRD race spec profile regrinds 304/288 cams and i'm wanting to dial them in properly.
so i take it you are happy with the quality of the product? fit and finish, materials used etc etc.
Would anyone happen to know more about the TRD 2TG cam specifications? i purchased my engine with the cams fitted already.

I'm very happy with the product. As mentioned the allan head bolts could have better size tolerance.
I use Lotus L1 intake and BD3 exhaust cam profiles in my 1940cc engine. Virtually identical specs to TRD 304/288 cams although slightly more duration.
At TDC on piston no.1:
TRD 288 exhaust cam timing is 104 degrees BTDC.
TRD 304 intake cam timing is 96 degrees ATDC.

Those numbers are set using the top dead centre (TDC) method. Measures the angle from TDC on piston 1 (set to zero) to point of highest lift on the exhaust cam first then the intake cam.
The factory timing set up method gets you to approximately 100 degrees on both cams but the cam lock pins can introduce up to 2 degrees of variation. The adjustable gear allows you to cancel the variation out and get very close to specified timing.

Any idea of lift at TDC. Attempting to avoid having to pull the whole engine bay apart to get the dial gauge on the crank to get the cams dialed in.

If the cams are factory TRD cam lift at "cam" TDC is 10.0mm for 304 intake and 9.6mm for 288 exhaust.
Pull the engine out and set up the base line properly. It will save a lot of second guessing and possibly cost down the line.
