.....ahhh the familiar catch cry of the 6Hr participants......only you are calling it about 11 months too early.

I'm interested in joining in the six hour with the team if there is a spot available.
Will travel from Sydney.

I have a MR2. The link in my signature had details on the car.
Not sure on what times are expected but I expect to do 1:40's if that's ok. I can do 1:45's if required or quicker but as it's a regularity, it will be around the times noted.
I have GPS,lap timing, data logger, radio will be fitted with headset in the helmet.
Ran in the Wakefield300 three times with mixed results. Ran at superlap/WTAC, came second in superTT as a support class to the National Super Truck round at Winton on my first time at the track. That was 'super'!
Not much experience but enjoy building and driving my car.
Also run the MR2 Trackday Challenge at Wakefield Park in January.
What else would you like to know?
that covers it , you will have a great time ,
the regs wont allow you to use the radio or data logger , or any timing device in the car

i suggest that you book your accommodation now ,as the fiat club has booked most of the cabins at the benalla leisure park

I was thinking the same thing myself
This is the Ian with a cunning plan that we all know!
I plan to give this a go next year if things are all good with my car. Winton looks like a fun track & being a regularity race, outright speed doesn't matter too much!
Thanks for the update. I can turn off the in-car timing and not using the radio is no problem. I will download the reg's over the weekend to see what going on.
Will also chase up accommodation.
Most important, is there a spot on the team?
Cheers
