Have a 1uz out of a 91 soarer and have the heads off ATM, my problem is I bought a quality Victor Reinz gasket kit, not whole set just head gaskets, and top end stuff, most of the seals and gaskets a very comprehensive kit part no. HS5920, so I lay the old head gaskets over the new ones and there quite a few coolant passage holes missing like 9 not just 1or2, has anyone seen this before? I have seen a genuine gasket on Rolin imports site, it has the same amount of holes as my new ones, I'm confused, should I just bolt it up and hope for the best? Should I just punch holes in new gaskets (there's no silicone type sealer around any coolant holes) I rang Toyota castle hill and they haven't sold one in years and want $250 each ex Japan, the engine always ran good in regards to cooling, no issues what so ever with an alloy radiator in a tight hiilux engine bay. Anyone come across this before?? Need help.
