Toss em or make something out of flat bar;
They are not critical.
I've hit a snag while reassembling my 4AGZE to go back into a Sprinter. It just got a new bottom end, with the block originally coming from a silvertop 20v. The issue I've found is with the two gearbox stays that bolt to the side of the block and bellhousing (passenger side shown in photos below). On the passenger side the rear threaded hole in the block is at the wrong angle, worse on the drivers side the hole doesn't exist at all.
I'm a bit of a newb regarding 20vs and couldn't find any mention of this issue when searching. What do people normally do? Bin the stays? Just use one bolt in the block? Some other genius solution?
Thanks
Hen

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.

ive been running my car for ever with out them. and no probs so far.
but i do toss the idea around to get some and fit them, just cause.
you could make new ones, or modify them or as said just not run them at all.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
I ran just the one.... the engine was a mild build (112whp), and it is still running today on just the one (new owner about 5 years ago)
Information is POWER... learn the facts!!
Most people don't use them if they don't fit. Eddie's TA22 with the 20v turbo (230rwkw) only had one fitted.
SHEPPO..
Sweet, that's the experience I like to hear. I'll promptly install them in the bin and forget about it.
