better late than never Pete
Don't know if a post drag meal could be done unless it is Yamanto maccas as it is pretty late. Could probably do it between dyno and drags though. Sort out some grudge matches etc.![]()
I realise this post is over a month old now but was still good reading to me.Gotta agree with the guys that Wilbos efforts on a beer budget and a hands on approach show what can be done.Very motivating.
The talk of the next one being a dyno AM and a run PM sounds like a good day.Perhaps we could nominate a pub that has good food somewhere between willowbank and brisbane for a couple of lights and a rehash of the days highs and lows on the way home?
On a side note-that dyno could have been reading low? sems the figures were not quite what you would expect from a lot of those cars. Was it very hot?
I am keen to start getting involved in this type of social\car oriented event in the future so please put me on the "mailing list" Cheers.Pete.

that sounds like a good idea

The boobs are back
yeah we should start getting opinions on when people's cars will be "ready" so that the "my car isn't ready excuse" will not be tollerated (yeah i know i use it a bit)
Noisy Diff and Gearbox Club of Pine Riversand you thought your car was loudThe Soarer brought to you by the letter TT
Is there a proposed date for this event?
Im keen,I reckon with no experience and no idea I oughta win the "bogged starts comp" and am prepared to put a beer on it [am not big on gambling]
BUT if i can sort a decent start will be up in the "stock turbo" ranks for the day methinks
I really like the sound of a dyno then drag type day... I need to get my exhaust fitted and a decent pod/cai setup going before then. Gives me something to work towards as work is bumming me out lately.
no date sorted yet. How about late May? winternats is early june so don't want to be too close as test and tunes will be busy with big boys. Otherwise, late June? Will be nice and chilly!
That gives everyone plenty of time to get sorted. I have 3 weeks to pull wolf out, put microtech in and tune and be ready to drive 200kms to the track and 200kms back. Wish me luck
Oh yeah, I am saying those dates so it gives some time to get sorted as I want to race Gary from the tyre factory in his 1.5jz, n20 equipped manual soarer![]()
I reckon its hard to get the average joe to plan too far ahead these days and late May is already 10 or 11 weeks away
aaah, hmmmm, now let me just check my calendar ahhhhh WELL look at that-
NOTHING BOOKED...................................... I can go with late may!
Can it be a Sunday? generally work sat until midday but could dyno elsewhere and make it out to Willowbank for the arvo's jousting ,racing, bragging, strutting more bragging etc
alright I will check for late May.
Can only be sat as that is when test and tunes are on. And I don't think many dyno places would open up on a sunday either.
