    Default MX73 manual swap problems

I have 2 mx73s. My original mx73 ran great and was a factory manual, but got totalled. I bought an automatic mx73 with a motor that barely ran. So I swapped the engine and tranny out of the totalled car into the new car this weekend and ran into an issue I did not anticipate. The manual car has the neutral safety switch wired into the chassis harness, the automatic car has the neutral safety switch wired into the engine harness. This left me with no obvious wires to jump in ordere to disable it. Were I using my original automatic engine harness, I would simply jump the 2 thick wires (black/white and black) at the swith to disable it, but this does not exist on the manual engine harness. I'm trying to avoid swapping the harness, which would likely require removing the intake manifold and be a pain the ass, any suggestions?! Thanks alot guys!

Pretty sure MX73s were never factory sold in Australia.

I don't exactly follow what you have written, are you able to post some pics perhaps?

So, is the car not cranking?

I'm not sure you have to do anything with the manual harness, the 7M swap in my car using a manual trans harness didn't need any wiring change to crank.

    Ok..
i tack it you are fitting the Manual motor & gear-box to the Auto..
    it easy..
just short out the switch wires..
i many of the conversion i have don the factory had a loop plug that went into the plug on the chassis wiring..
so from the old auto box you will have a cable with reversing light & park/neutral switch..
send the reversing light to switch on the manual box & short out/loop the neutral switch wires..

As Wilbo Said (well iassume it what hes saying - re read what you said buddy haha) never had factory manual MX73's in aus.
so thet leads me to beleive your are in the US (this is an aussie forum), which would mean your wiring is totally different. to make it run just jump the 2 large wires that would have gone to the auto box. done.
