S13 strut tops FTW, cheap and easy to obtain. You have to elongate the holes in the strut towers a mm or two, but that's not a big deal.

That's what had to be done for the "bolt-in" K-Mac ones I have. I also have a whopping 1/4 of a degree of camber to play with yee-fkn-haaaa!!!

I am looking at replacing my K-Macs with T3 items, I had a look at a set on a car the other night and they look very nice

The bolt spacing is definitely the same; I put MA61 struts in my RA23 and they bolted up to the strut tower no problems.

Haha yeah adjustable strut tops aren't much use if you still have the stock springs, there just isn't much clearance inside the strut tower. You really need to convert to coilover springs to get the full benefit.

Hahaha I have coil-overs but the gay bulbous design of the strut top only allows a minimal amount of movement inside the opening on the top of the strut tower - hence my want for another brand so I can get some damn adjustment

Was this just to see if they fitted?
I am interested if you kept them in there and resolved the camber issues associated with it.
Ie can you dial out the camber of the ma61 (or ra60) strut with the camber top?

I'm certainyl interested in a set for that price, as i want to do the adjustable coilover and strut top conversion on my '28.

I'm not experienced in this group-buy stuff, but as a few ppl have also expressed interest, i'd like to put my hand... bugger it... BOTH my hands up for a set.

I think T3 also do the 65mm spring landings and threaded tubes as well. Is that correct?

cant dial 60 in 28/23 camber out with strut tops.

your looking at longer control arms and or in combination with strut tops.

The AE86 ones aren't the same as the ta22 ones. I remember asking someone who sold them and they said yeah theyre gunna fit and just to check i got my mates AE86 strut brace and they were nothing alike.

Yes it was just an experiment, and when I saw what happened to the camber I abandoned that idea. If I was doing it again though (which I might be doing soon actually) I'd install MA61/RA60 struts and get them bent at the base to bring the camber back to zero, then install adjustable strut tops to dial in whatever camber I want.

Note that while bending struts sounds extremely dodgy, it's actually quite safe if done by a reputable workshop. It's quite common practice in racing circles, and they certainly wouldn't do it if there was any danger of the strut coming apart. I might add that I have bent MX83 struts in my Supra and after 12+ months of hard driving there are no problems with them.

    Hi guys.....

what a response..... looks like im not the only person who think positive camber sucks (that and it makes one rim kiss the guard on occaision)

anyway, i have sent another email asking bout other possibilities mentioned here, with measurement of the 28.... so ill see what they say.

    i'll keep you posted.

Has anyone considered the T3 negative camber RCAs? Combined with the strut tops would give loads of adjustment (maybe not with normal springs). They say they add 2.8 degrees neg if lowered 2" which is a tad too mush for road
