    --1.6 N/A (all your 4ag and 4ac people)
    --1.6 N/A+ - F/I (4agze, 4agte, ca18det, sr20det, 1ggte, 7age, 3sg(t)e)

    these are all cars I know of that are interested or will be interested in attending. So it will most likely be automatically seperated in this way depending on laptimes. BUT Why deny someone with a highpo n/a 1.6 to compete in the quicker class especially if they are lapping better than some of the drivers in that class... OR the flipside to this is why should a car take the spot of someone in a class they shouldnt be in.

    So the suggestions are;

    -Hotlap times to determine grid, in seperate classes. 2 completely seperate races based on class groupings.

    -2 seperate qualifying races (in 2 class groups). Then a FINAL 3rd race is held. Based on either
    ---Best lap (meaning only the top 10 lap times from both classes get into A final race)
    ---Top 5 from finishing positions from either class go into A final race.

    I cant see more than 2 classes simply because of the lack of number of competitors if you break it down too much.

    My vote currently stands on;

    "2 seperate qualifying races (in 2 class groups). Then a FINAL 3rd race is held. Based on best lap (meaning only the top 10 lap times from both classes get into A final race)"

    This way we essentially get 2 champions in 2 seperate groups, and then if need be a final solo winner. What happens if the top 10 times are all from the same group. Well I dont know so Id like to hear suggestions.

    Ideas are still firing left right and centre;; its all still up in the air... Me, Slut, Chad, Garth will be discussing it and finalising things sooner rather than later.

    Sounds like a great Idea guys, I think winton is an ideal track for sprinters. It is super twisty and has serious drift potential.

    The only problem with winton is that the guys that run the place are pretty conservitave and may not be up for a heap of dudes who may or may not have any drift/track experience come and tear up the infield.

    Saying that, I hear on the grapevine that there are a couple of guys who are into drifting that are members of the winton racing club, so maybe they could help in persuading the board to allow us to drift.

    I think you should also let people with other cars to attend, to keep cost down and just too mix it up a bit, even if they arent inlcuded in the timing/events.

    Anyways, keep the ideas coming. You can count on seeing me there (hopefully unnaturally aspirated)

    Just an idea, but you could use a distribution of power to weight ratios (scaled 10 to 1) to level the playing field. Obviously this doesn't account for handling, but possibly a scale of 10 to 1, with 1 being stock and 10 being a completely modified suspension will help this. You average the two results for each entrant and then divide their times by this number. That should help set an equal playing field. Add extra scales to account for brakes, driver experience, whatever.

    Anyway, sounds like a great plan and I'm rather disappointed that I'm not going to be around for it.

    Since ive heard this being asked a few times I'll state right now there will be NO OTHER CARS ALLOWED. Bar perhaps Chad because hes helping with organisation. He can be cam car But the whole point of us organising this is that its an AE86 event.. attempting to mirror that of the N2Cup. Otherwise we wouldnt bother organising anything and we'd just goto a circuitclub meet or any other heap of opentrack day meets that are on at various different circuits.

    If you like the idea of a trackmeet then investigate the many other options but this will remain an AE86 event. That is what is seperating it from other trackdays.

    Sure since it will be the inaugaral one Its not going to be as good as an N2Cup.. For starters Its NO SLICKS simply because I dont forsee everyone going out and buying slicks and dishing out the $$$. I would like it to be, and it most probably will be in the future. But for starters we want it to be as fun and as accessible to everyone as possible.
