Hi Guys,
i have almost completed a JZX100 1jz vvti conversion in a JZX91 and have run into a few issues.
has anyone ever used a dakoda digital SGI-5 to convert the speed signal for the speedo? it just doesnt want to play ball. any suggestions for a better alternative, has to convert the 16ppr reluctor signal into a 4ppr 12v square wave.
now the 2nd issue, due to the lack of a working speedo, there is no SP1 signal so it throws code 42 - would this cause low power? i know it causes the old "3 speed auto" problem", but not sure about low power.
pretty much when you drive it, it drives fine, but when you punch it, it makes a few psi then the turbo sounds like it spooling like crazy, but goes nowhere. i suspected the factory BOV, so i blocked it and no difference.
the last issue is it idling low. like 500rpm.
i have a feeling all these problems may be related. any info would be great as everything else is working fine (even the a/c!)

Well after some screwing around, i seem to have worked all the issues out.
speedo now works, overdrive now engages, o/d button puts car in 3rd, and all ecu codes gone.
thanks for your help guys.
