half tempted. still won't have the engine conversion happened. But more important things happening tomorrow first
I have been meaning to get this thread started for about a month now; I apologise for the short notice and generally being shit. Life is asking a lot at the moment and I feel quite short on time and mental capacity. Anyway, I have also added the year to this thread title due to some mixups on threads recently.
But yes, there is only 4 weeks notice. Well, 27 days. Get your car and cash sorted and get down there, last one for the year! Hopefully ToyotaFest gets everybody keen to get their freshly polished cars out and drive them like they deserve.
On with the copypaste...
All the usual info, cost is $200 per car, anybody who's been will attest it's awesome value for the amount of track time you get. Even if it's a busy day, you still get a heap of laps, particularly if you time your sessions well.
We run a limited number of cars so you pay per car and can cycle as many drivers through one car as you like, it's open track all day with a limit of 12 on circuit and a one in one out basis, so you can go out when you want. I have the usual 15 spots reserved for Toymodders but can usually find a few more if i need them.
Accomodation has for the last several times been in town at the Alpine Heritage with the MWSCC guys, the pub has an awesome feed and reasonable beer selection. Hey I changed something in this bit of the post! Anyway, we usually stay Thursday and Friday nights but you're welcome to stay both, either one or drive down and back on the day. I recommend steak, beer and sleep after a long track day.
Bring CAMS or valid driver's licence, helmet, neck/wrist/ankle length clothing and beverages if staying (accom is about $40-$50/night depending on numbers).
No official timing means cheaper insurance (and therefore track time) and passengers are allowed for 'driver training purposes', but feel free to organise your own timing gear.
So, when you commit to coming, i will PM bank details to transfer to (incl for accomodation to book spots) - oh and important point for the regulars out there, as of the beginning of the year i have a new mobile number and new banking details, so if you haven't been to a day since 2013 you don't have the right ones. So don't transfer to the old details, PM me for the new ones - then when i see the coin ($200 + $40/night) i will add you to this...

ive used up all my leave and i wanna do more stuff to the adub before it goes out on the track anyway
also october 31? wasnt this supposed to be november 7?
Another maybe from me but will be seriously working towards this one.
Vito, not sure, think i had heard that but maybe from you? Actually, i think a couple of people have mentioned that so it may have changed since i put the word out at the beginning of the year? There's usually 1 date a year we get bumped or moved around to suit events, i just don't always let everybody know the dates that far in advance. Which if it's going to change...
Anyway, see how you go guys - and Steve congrats!

if anyone is keen to take a passenger, I'd LOVE to come. happy to help out with some car work if need be. I just want to use this as an experience to see what a track is really like so I can track my new project in the future.
MR2 club track day at Wakie on the 25th????????? Which one OR both?
Yeah I'm a maybe - someone is building me a new manifold, and I might be buying a new turbo....
